General comments:
To solve this puzzle, you must recognize that a pattern exists between
a particular coin and the 2 coins immediately below it. Specifically,
when the 2 coins on the bottom of the 3 coins that make up a triangle
are both silver or both gold, the coin on top has to be silver. When
the 2 coins on the bottom are different (i.e. 1 silver and 1 gold) then
the coin on top has to be gold.
For example:
Coins “B” & “C” above at start of puzzle
are different (”B” is silver & “C” is gold)
therefor, coin “A” has to remain gold.
Also, coin “C” and coin “E” are both gold, therefor,
coin “D” must be changed to silver. This pattern exists
for all coins.
Steps to solving the Rancor puzzle:
1) Start with ROW 2.
2) Click on the coins to flip them between gold and silver.
3) Flip the coins so that they match the pattern shown for “END
OF PUZZLE” for ROW 2.
4) After you correctly match the pattern for row 2, the row of wooden
levers immediately
below it will all flip down.
5) Proceed to ROW 3.
6) Repeat the process of flipping coins to match the pattern for “END
OF PUZZLE” for
ROW 3. Again, when the correct pattern is matched for ROW 3, the levers
immediately
below it will all flip down.
7) Continue this process all the way to ROW 8 to complete the puzzle.
